JAVA Developer/Engineer with Quarkus - 3+ months - Remote - Start ASAP
For our international client, we are looking for an experienced JAVA Developer/Engineer with experience in Quarkus.
Your main task is to support the client in the migration of APIs from Mulesoft to JAVA as part of a migration of legacy systems (ESB, monolith) to microservices.
Team lead or experience as a lead Engineer is preferred.
Tasks:
* Low level design
* Development and migration of APIs from Mulesoft to JAVA
* Technical development based on requirements
* Building and consuming REST APIs, MicroProfile REST Client or similar
* HTTP client patterns, error handling, retry strategies
Requirements:
* More than 5 years of experience in JAVA Development
* Project experience with Core Java version 17 upwards, preferably experience with JAVA 25
* Strong project experience with Quarkus 3.x
* Strong project experience with Apache Kafka
* Minimum of 2 years of project experience with event-driven / message-driven architectures
* Experience in migrating legacy systems (ESB, monolith) to microservices - preferred
* Experience with SQL / Relational Databases - preferably PostgreSQL
* Experience with building and consuming REST APIs, MicroProfile REST Client
* Experience in the manufacturing industry - preferred
* Fluency in English
Project details:
* Start: ASAP
* Duration: 3 months (+ option to extend)
* Workload: 5 days per week
* Location: 100% remote (European based only)
* Languages: Fluency in English
