One of our leading clients are seeking "SQL DBA" for a 12+ month contract in Den Haag/Utrecht, Netherlands. Fluency in Dutch is mandatory.
The database administrator is:
- responsible for the quality, timeliness, completeness and consistency of data in a database.
- as opposed to data manager is operationally responsible for data (possibly named per database).
- often creates the data model for an application in collaboration with an information analyst or architect and manages that model including the rules that need to be secured to keep the data current, consistent, and so on.
- verifies the production results (on the aspect of data consistency and correctness) and performs periodic analyses on the quality of the data.
- Database backup and recovery;
- Security;
- Authentication;
- Capacity planning;
- Data extraction, transformation and loading (ETL);
- Performance tuning;
- Troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
o At least 2 years of experience with DBA work (hard requirement)
o Knowledge in the field of MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Understanding a simple select statements
- Understanding what indexes do
o Database backup and recovery
o Database replication
o Experience working in a Linux environment
o Team player, flexible and able to deal with pressure
o Communicative
o Want to perform stand-by shifts and night-time work.
Advantage:
o Knowledge of/experience with other (no-SQL) database technologies
o Knowledge of/experience with data migrations
o Sense of security and compliance
o Some knowledge of Scrum/SAFe working.
